Golf Outing

Andrew Samuel founded the "One Love One Heart" charity in 2008 and had a few different events and fundraising endeavors in the works. Many of his friends and family come from golf-families and had played in several charity golf outings that were both fun and also raised a generous amount of money for a good cause.

Andrew West brought up the idea of a charity golf outing to Andrew that would benefit "One Love One Heart" and Andrew knew it had the potential to be a great success. Andrew was in treatment at the time and didn't necessarily want to take the lead with the planning and organizing, so his friends stepped up and got the 1st annual golf outing together. Andrew put his friends in touch with his brother Sam who spread the word to a bunch of family and friends that were interested in partaking in the event; and it took off from there.

Andrew was excited for the event and helped to spread the word to participants and sponsors alike, despite the battle he was fighting. He made it to the golf course that day, after spending the night before in the hospital, and gave an extremely moving speech that we still remember today. The 1st outing was a huge success and today with the combined efforts of Andrews' friends and family we are keeping Andrews' memory and spirit alive in organizing the 3rd Annual Golf Outing.

We look forward to this year's outing, as well as, the coming years as we continue to live by Andrews’ philosophy and expand into an organization that can help research and find a cure for Gastric Cancer and help people in need.
